Positioning Your Greenhouse
When choosing where to put your new greenhouse you will need to think about where the best place will be. For many people there is not a lot of choice and you will put in the area available but for others with large gardens and multiple choices there are a few basics to think about. Many professionals will advise having the ridge face east to west but if your greenhouse is not exceedingly longer than is wide, such as the standard 6×8 or 8×10 then I would not worry too much about this and think more about the practical implications such as access to your building and getting power into it if needed. Also think about how easy to get a suitable base area ready and what the finished greenhouse will look like.
